It's pretty uncommon for an evening of astronomical adventure to go better than expected but last night's lunar eclipse was one of those exceptions. Out in the backyard in summer shirtsleeves with clear skies and good seeing. Donna coming out with tea to join me. The earth, moon and sun doing their slow dance and giving us a few moments to catch our breath.
